Once a donor is recruited, she undergoes the in vitro fertilization process, followed by egg retrieval. Once completed, the ova are fertilized by a sperm sample from the male in a Petri dish, and after several days, the consequential embryo is positioned in the uterus of the recipient female. She will carry and deliver the pregnancy and keep the baby.
