The University of Missouri School of Health Professions is the only institution in the U.S. to provide education for the Master of Health Science (MHS) in medical diagnostic ultrasound (DMU). It also offers Bachelor of Health Sciences. The specific requirement for those wishing to enroll in Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound is that it must be physically fit to maintain extended positions and the elongated arm pressure applications for procedures requiring ultrasound machines. Audible and visual Doppler technology both require a clear vision and hearing standards to diagnose what is wrong with the patient.
