Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum so I apologize in advance if my post seems off-topic or if it was already partially answered by another discussion.
Since a thorough internet search, including a look through various forums, didn't provide me with a suitable solution to my problem, I decided to describe it in here.
I am 23 years old, 5'7" tall and my weight is 128 lbs. I have narrow shoulders, a Kyphosis and a light Scoliosis.
My orthopedist told me that some critical muscles on my back are underdeveloped and are therefore unable to keep my back straight. Some medically supervised physiotherapy treatments and a special strength training have shown no effect on my appearance, so about a year ago I decided to try something else.
Since my last physiotherapist told me that, in my case, in order to build up muscle mass I have to gain weight the usual way first, I started a weight gain diet before signing up for a regular gym. My aim was to reach 145 lbs and to gain enough muscle mass to fully support my upper body and to straighten it.
Now, a year later, I only see a small increase in muscles, but my weight is still the same and so is my back.
There was a period where I was able to gain 5 pounds within two months, but after that I came down with a quite nasty cold and lost them altogether within a week and had to start again at zero. I found that it is impossible for me to ingest more calories with my food, since when I try something more caloric, it keeps me full for such a long time, that I even have to postpone my next meal.
I've had a similar setback with my gym training, when a pulled tendon forced me to pause for a few weeks. As I resumed my training, I felt as If I had to start all over again. _________________ buy twitter followers |
