This fund specialises in investment in sectors related to the growth in demand for clean water, as global population growth continues. A large portion of its assets is invested in companies operating in the global water sector, including water supply, processing and technology companies and water safety. It has returned 21.7 per cent over five years and 9.81 per cent over the year the end of January 2013.
Pictet is a signatory to both the Stewardship Code and the UN-backed Principles for Responsible Investment. Pictet uses the services of third party specialists on active ownership, whose expertise and international experience allows them to vote at all relevant company meetings worldwide.
