I call it the silent killer that is slow in coming, but when it does, it's destruction is devistating 
One day you can hear the birds singing and the next you assume all the birds migrated to Jamaca. I didn't really notice it at first, but it soon dawned on me that the sounds had vanished. I can barely hear the water running, so my sink has ran over many times. The knock at the door is totally dead to me, I thank God i have my dogs. I can't hear when somene walks behind me or in the front door. But bully and kip alert me when things happen.  We just found out that one my daughter's suffers from the same genetic deafness. So we're facing this tradegy together, better than doing it alone i guess?
