The majority of refined OCR software used by professional book scanning companies can find and reproduce text from most standard fonts from the past 100 years or so. Our company has scanned books that are more than 100 years old and newspapers that are even older than that for example and, considering the papers are still in good condition, it is still possible to OCR the text without a problem with a high accuracy.
