Which basically means the landlord doesn't have the balls to confront the tenant and discuss the problem to reach a mutual decision. Instead he serves the person with an eviction notice quietly taped to their door. This is the lamest excuse in the world but they can do it by law. What is our government thinking right?
I've known many who will evict you if they feel their reputation in harms way over a simple misunderstanding! i can understand an eviction if you didn't pay your rent
Some landlords do it because they personally do not like you, which isn't a stipulation in the contract! in my opinion my landlord doesn't have to like me to allow me to live in his home. If he accepts my rent each month he should be bound to keep renting to me without laps or excuse.
Some do not want the liability of a disabled person in their homes, many find that they have to accomodate their property for safety reasons. Why do landlords rent to them in the first place?
To many people are evicted everyday, with the economy in disaster i can understand why the person couldn't pay. Resulting in eviction unfortunately.
If someone is served with an eviction notice a court hearing should be ordered for the landlord to plead his honest reasoning before the judge. Secondly he must show unbiased proof of his allegations before the person can be evicted by law.
Stupid reasons like a dislike in personality should be thrown out of court, heresay and misunderstanding should recieve the same. The landlord should be bound to rules just like the tennant or there's no contract.
No money switching hands and no apartment for rent, solves the matter all together. _________________ Petsadmin
